What messages you'll receive
thewaitlist sends SMS text notifications to customers who join a business's queue and provide their phone number. Messages tell you about your place in line — for example, when you're nearly up and when it's your turn.
How you opt in
Providing a phone number and receiving texts is optional. You can join the line with just your name and watch your spot on the page — no number, no texts. If you want text updates, enter your number and check the SMS consent box on the join form; checking that box is your opt-in. Consent is not required to join the line or use the service.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on how many times you join a queue and your position in line.
Rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opting out and help
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or contact help@thewaitlist.com.
